Kindred Valley is a West Virginia-based band blending Americana, Indie Folk, and Folk Rock.
Formed initially as Back Row Baptists, the group began with Blake Lacy, Noah Freeman, and Brett McCoy in Huntington, WV. Their music, rooted in Appalachian culture, draws from personal stories and experiences, creating an immersive sound that resonates with listeners.
In 2021, the band expanded with the addition of Rachael and Jadon Hayes, a husband-and-wife duo, along with Kaden Salmons, sparking a new era for the group. The fresh lineup inspired new ideas and led to the creation of their first single, “Whistle.” By the end of 2021, Kindred Valley released “The Wedding Song,” further cementing their evolving sound.
After nearly two years of hard work, the band released their self-titled debut album in 2022. The album showcased Kindred Valley’s deep Appalachian roots while also exploring bold, innovative musical directions.
