Gurriers are a Dublin-based Irish post-punk band formed in 2020, known for their raw, energetic, and guitar-driven sound that blends post-punk, noise rock, and shoegaze. Featuring lead vocalist and lyricist Dan Hoff, the band channels sociopolitical frustrations into their music, which is characterized by a powerful, abrasive, and often shouting vocal style over driving riffs and memorable hooks. The band used the early COVID-19 lockdowns to meticulously refine their sound and vision through online discussions, leading to their debut album “Come and See,” which tackles themes of contemporary disenchantment and societal issues.
