Like many others, Greenhead is inspired by the classic sounds of Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin; However, Greenhead’s sound also pulls from the early 90s and 2000s style of stoner/doom, like Sleep, Mastodon, Electric Wizard, and so on; while also taking intluence from the local hardcore scene within the various cities and states. Each of us in the group finds a sense of catharsis creating energetic music, and to create this kind of feedback of energy with the crowds we play to. In short, it’s what keeps us from bouncing off the walls at the end of the day. Together the band first formed in December of 2021 with just Nick Groves on (Lead guitar and vox) and Ian Andrew (Drummer): soon after, we were joined by Alex Cole (Bassist) in March of 2022. The band has played in numerous venues around the East Coast.
