Chicago-based multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and engineer Che Arthur was born in Mobile, AL and logged time in several bands in that state before moving to Chicago in the mid-90s with his then-active band Universal Live and Accident. When that band faded into inactivity, Arthur joined the Chicago trio Atombombpocketknife as second guitarist, appearing on ABPK’s final two albums.
As ABPK came to an end, Arthur emerged with his first solo album, 2003’s All Of Your Tomorrows Were Decided Today, and embarked on a number of US solo tours. 2007’s Iron and 2010’s Like Revenge followed, as did substantial touring. The full-band tours for Iron and Like Revenge sparked a desire to be in a full-time band again, so Arthur rejoined with Universal Life drummer Adam Reach to form Pink Avalance, which has to date released three albums.
After a left turn into electronic music in the projects Ha Subliminal and Professor Downfall, Arthur releases his fourth album under his own name, For That Which Now Lies Fallow, in 2024.
