Bay Faction burst onto the Boston DIY scene in 2015, rising from an online message board and quickly gaining a devoted cult following with the release of their self-titled debut record.
The band went on hiatus in 2020 after frontman James McDermott removed their debut album from streaming, finding it too personal. The break allowed the band to re-evaluate their direction and develop new material with a fresh perspective.
Bay Faction made a triumphant return in 2024 with their highly anticipated single, “Drive Home.” Now in 2025, they’re back with a brand-new EP, thanks, for waiting, highlighting their evolved songwriting and fresh creative vision.
